Nestled in the rolling hills
just outside of San Diego, Cal-a-Vie is regarded as the
ultimate
luxury health spa. This magnificent 200 acre retreat is
strikingly reminiscent of a small village in Southern
France, and offers a balanced approach to vibrant health and
well-being by combining the best of traditional and
contemporary trends in fitness, nutrition and spa therapies.
Cal-a-Vie's menu of spa treatments includes beneficial
therapies for women and men. Relaxing massages, Vichy
showers, reflexology, Thalassotherapy, hydrotherapy and
aromatherapy rejuvenate the body as well as the spirit. You
will also enjoy anti-aging facials, hair and scalp
treatments and hot stone pedicures in the salon.
A vigorous morning hike or walk starts the day that
continues with a fitness program that tones, strengthens and
builds endurance. Our two-story, 17,000 square-foot Pavilion
offers three spacious exercise rooms for fitness classes; a
separate room for cardiovascular equipment; a Pilates and
Gyrotonics studio; a weight room with resistance and
strength machines and free weights offers optimal fitness
training. Meeting and recreation facilities are located on
the ground floor. Yoga, meditation, tai chi and labyrinth
walk in the afternoon leave you feeling relaxed and content.
Delicious and nourishing gourmet spa cuisine delights the
palate as our chefs share the secrets of spa cookery during
demonstrations in the kitchen. All meals are nutritionally
balanced with fresh, natural whole foods that are seasoned
to perfection.
Deluxe accommodations consist of 26 private and spacious
Provençal inspired villas lavishly furnished with 18th
century French antiques. Adding to your comfort and
relaxation, the rooms are appointed with Frette bed linens
as well as lush Frette robes and slippers. European style
baths with luxurious Turkish towels complement each room.
The villas are set in a peaceful environment of breathtaking
views and splendid gardens of lavender, honeysuckle, jasmine
and roses.
