Castaway has something
for everyone. It's where living, laughing, loving, and
loafing is easy.
The calm, reef-fringed waters
and the laid-back lifestyle of Castaway provide a
holiday experience as active or relaxing as you desire. The
resort's traditionally thatched Fijian bures are of three
styles - island bure, ocean bure and beach bure. The
restaurant's a la carte menu offers a beautiful array of
fresh seafood and produce while the Sundowner Bar offers a
selection of wood-fired pizza.
Activities include tennis, scuba, windsurfing, sailing,
water-skiing, parasailing and fishing, with non-motorized
activities included in the daily tariff. Castaway is
an excellent choice for families as it has one of the finest
children's programs Fiji has to offer. Relax around the pool
or sit quietly on the beach soaking up the sun. Solve the
problems of the world in total solitude under the shade of a
palm tree. Castaway is the place where barefoot
dreams are born and cares forgotten. |

ACCOMMODATION |
|
There are sixty six spacious
thatched traditional Fijian style bures (bungalows). Whether
your choice is beach front, ocean view or island setting,
all bures feature one queen size ensemble and two single
beds. They comfortably sleep four persons.
Each bure features traditional Fijian design high roofs and
ceiling mounted fans. Sleeping and living quarters are
separate with the emphasis being on privacy and comfort. A
well stocked drinks refrigerator is provided.
Your bure has a separate large ensuite bathroom including
separate shower, toilet and vanity area complete with
hairdryer and toiletries. Castaway has an abundance of fresh
clean water. A typical "bure" design is shown below to give
you an idea of your accommodation layout.

RESORT ACTIVITIES |
Whether you
decide to windsurf, paddleboard, or sail a catamaran around
the lagoon, it's all in a day's activity at Castaway. View
the living coral reef by snorkeling or through a glass
bottomed boat – all with our compliments. Use of watersports
equipment is available free of charge. You might want to
spend an afternoon around our beautiful swimming pool or
play a set of tennis at sunset. Join us on the beach every
afternoon for Fiji vs. the world in beach volleyball. Board
games are also available for those who prefer something less
energetic.
ACTIVITIES WHERE CHARGES APPLY
Castaway guests have the option to participate in activities
such as banana boat rides, SCUBA diving, waterskiing,
parasailing, jet skiing and outer reef snorkeling trips at
an additional cost.
Our award winning PADI Dive Center offers a wide range of
SCUBA courses for beginners through advanced divers.
Take an island safari in style on Fiji's fastest speedboat,
'Teivovo', cruising around our neighboring Mamanuca Islands
with a delicious champagne picnic lunch on the way: a
must-do activity while on Castaway. Join our hand line
fishing expedition Monday through Saturday evenings from
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Try the exhilaration of parasailing over
the sparkling waters surrounding the island or jump on a jet
ski and experience the rush of 30 mph on water! |
