This Neo-Renaissance romantic villa, is today a refined 5-star luxury with only 18 deluxe rooms and suites. This unique structure, for its exclusive panoramic position directly at Piazzale Michelangelo, is a few steps from Ponte Vecchio, with a breathtaking view of the city of Florence, situated in its own garden with a beautiful panoramic swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The prestigious rooms and suites are elegantly furnished and equipped with all amenities and comforts: air conditioning, free satellite TV (SKY Channels) and internet, PC/modem connection, Free ADSL connection, double telephone line, radio and CD player. All the bathrooms are in marble and mosaic, with whirlpool bathtubs. The gourmet restaurant ‘Onice’ was prized with a Michelin star in 2004. The hotel, with a large private parking area offers its clients a shuttle service on request for the city centre.

 
ACCOMMODATIONS:

Being a boutique property, the Hotel Villa La Vedetta has only 18 guestrooms, which are divided between the main building and the hotel annex. Bright, airy rooms feature parquet floors and high ceilings with handmade stuccoed friezes; decor is in clean pastel tones with taffeta drapery and bedspreads, while other touches including crocodile-style leather, antique mirrors and subtly scented oils. Views are either of the gardens or over Florence.

All rooms include 21-inch flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, pay movies and TV Internet, as well as CD players, complimentary wireless Internet, three telephones, and minibars. Marble bathrooms feature wall-length mirrors, heated towel rails, and jetted tubs while providing luxury toiletries, scales, bathrobes and slippers.

Garden Lounge Restaurant & Bar

Having only opened in 2003, the restaurant and lounge bar Onice, received a prestigious Michelin star which followed an insert in the celebrated guide ‘Espresso’. Its luxurious and elegant environment, irreproachable service, the rich wine list concentrated primarily on important Tuscan red wines, and the optimum preparation of with his elaborate yet balanced dishes has made it possible for Onice to reach these important goals.

Two large luminous glass arched doors separate and invite guests from the garden with the large swimming pool and Jacuzzi for 20 people. The dining area under a vaulted ceiling, is furnished with satin covered chairs and sofas surrounded by crystal and crocodile tables, with a sophisticated grey, ivory and cream tone with touches of cherry red. A long rectangular honey onyx counter top creates an ideal space for encounters and an area for clients to socialize. The transparent shelves accentuate the bottles and crystal glassware on display.

Art work is surely that which chef presents in his dishes, with a fusion of styles and flavors from different cultures, the wise and calibrated use of spices give life to a innovative and enriched traditional cuisine repeated in the presentation. The menu begins with a parade of hors d’œuvres which then passes to the starters, followed by innovative fish and meat based entrees, and finally desserts with an autumn hint.

Onice Restaurant
Guests can enjoy contemporary Michelin star-winning cuisine prepared with fresh produce from the hotel’s vegetable garden and orchard, together with over 330 different wines from the walk-in cellar. Romantic decor enhanced by pristine white and creamy ivory tones with modernized antique armchairs, soft drapes and evening candlelight. Large glass doors open out onto the garden.

Onice Bar and Lounge
Clean, contemporary decor is enhanced by a honey-colored onyx bar and caramel leather banquettes. Guests can unwind with an expertly-mixed cocktail to the subtle sounds of lounge music.
