Habitat Curacao is a relaxing oasis of timeless
tranquility and stunning natural beauty. World

Habitat's distinctive architecture is colorfully
decorated throughout by famed Dutch designer Jan de
Bouvrie and features artworks by painter Nena

extraordinary snorkeling and diving. Tour the
neighboring art gallery and stop to check out our
nearby flamingo sanctuary.
Nearby Christoffel Park has hiking and leisurely
private trail rides to a stunning white sand beach.
With a rental car you can explore the sea turtle
nesting grounds at the awe inspiring Boca Tabla sea
caves. Or, visit the exciting Hato Caves with
majestic stalactite formations.
Golfers will enjoy playing a round at nearby Blue
Bay Golf Club which has stunning panoramas over the
Ocean.
Kids "of all ages" love swimming with the Dolphins
at Curacao's Dolphin Academy. Another terrific
experience is a safari around Curacao's Ostrich Farm
where you can even hold a softly chirping baby
ostrich.
Curacao is one of the best places in the world to
Windsurf, and sail and every kind of water sport can
be arranged for you at Habitat's front desk.
In the evening there are many fine dining choices at
Habitat and at the island's many restaurants located
in historic restored hilltop forts and plantation
homes. After dinner, a flutter at one of Curacao's
elegant casinos is always popular. And on
Wednesday's Habitat provides a special casino trip

ACCOMMODATIONS:
All Jr. Suites and Two-bedroom Lanai Villas have
generous, private outdoor space to allow you to
blend in and feel in harmony with nature. Every room
is air-conditioned but you can always throw open the
doors instead to the cooling trade winds and the
sound of the surf gently rolling into shore in the
evening.
We recommend Lanai Villas for families and dive
groups and our Jr. Suites as the best option for
single travelers and couples. Maid service is
provided daily.
Please let reservations know if you would like to
have a daily paper in Dutch or English delivered to
your room.
Deluxe Garden View:
max 3 persons. A great favorite with Habitat’s many
repeat guests the roomy Garden View Suite looks out
on Habitat’s tropical gardens, pool and the Ocean.
From your large outdoor patio see native
hummingbirds and butterflies seeking nectar amongst
the Agave and Hibiscus blossoms room has two queen
beds full air-conditioning in bedroom, cable
television, in-room safe, kitchenette, en suite
bathroom. Large, private outdoor space.
Deluxe Ocean View: max
3 persons. Habitat’s premier accommodation commands
breathtaking views of the stunning colors of the
reef. As you relax on your large outdoor patio you
can gaze all the way to the Ocean horizon. At night
the soothing sound of the surf rolling into shore
gently lulls you to sleep. Rooms have two queen
beds, full air-conditioning in bedroom, cable
television, in-room safe, kitchenette, en suite
bathroom. Large, private outdoor space.
Lanai Villas: 2-4
persons. Habitat’s Lanai Villas are the perfect
choice for families, long stays, and groups of
divers. A two-minute walk to the beach or dive dock.
Each spacious and colorful villa has two
air-conditioned bedrooms newly decorated in bright
tropical fabrics. Your outdoor living room looks out
on our seawater lagoon and lush landscaping. Spot
wild parrots perched in the nearby Frangipani and
Flamboyant trees and enjoy the constant cooling
breezes. Two bedrooms can be set up with Queen or
Twin beds upon request. Each fully air-conditioned
bedroom has its own bathroom, television and phone.
Full outdoor kitchen facilities, breakfast bar,
outdoor dining area and generous living room.

What kind if transportation is available?
All guests can use Habitat’s complimentary town
shuttle to go to Willemstad. The shuttle departs
Habitat at 9am, 2pm, and 6.30pm. To return to
Habitat you can board the shuttle at the tourist bus
stop at 9.30am, 2.30pm and 7pm.
If you wish to tour the island, many different
sightseeing, adventure and cultural tours can be
arranged through the front desk.
Habitat Curacao can also provide taxi service for
guests at special flat rates so that you can travel
to and from attractions around the island at any
time. Please ask the front desk to book your taxi.
Should I rent a car?
If you are planning an active vacation, or wish to
shore dive around the island, we do suggest that you
rent a car. This is the best option to allow you
maximum flexibility Curacao’s many attractions as
well as visit Curacao’s picture perfect beaches Knip
Baai and Klein Knip on the West coast.
You can pick up a pre-arranged car rental at the
airport. Or they can rent a car upon arrival from
the many international rental chains.
If you are not sure if you would like a car during
your stay, you can always easily go the Budget car
rental office located at the Riffort Village mall
next door to the shuttle drop off point in
Willemstad.
What type of pool and beach do you have?
Habitat Curacao has a beautiful infinity pool for
you to enjoy as well as a white sand and coral
beach. At Habitat you will see large playful Parrot
Fish right up at the shoreline in our exceptionally
clear waters.
What type of entertainment do you have?
Habitat Curacao provides live music at Ocean’s
restaurant and bar on Monday, Friday and Sunday. We
also have the "Visions of the Deep" slideshow guide
to Curacao’s reef on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday
Habitat also provides guests with a roundtrip Casino
trip. We also have regular guest speakers, and arts
workshops to enjoy. In addition the resort has a
game room and every room has cable television
showing US channels, Spanish and Dutch language
programming. However, our guests favorite activity
is enjoying our gorgeous views.
Do you have children’s activities?
Habitat Curacao is oriented towards providing a
serene atmosphere for adults to enjoy relaxation.
Therefore we do not provide children’s programs or
play areas. Professional babysitting can be arranged
in advance at the front desk.
Should I pre-book spa appointments?
The Spa at Habitat is extremely popular so that we
do encourage you to book appointments before you
arrive to avoid disappointment.
Can I drink the water?
Yes, Curacao has delicious healthy water which has
been rated better than many bottled waters.
Will my electrical appliances work?
Curacao’s Electrical supply is 110 - 130 volts/50
cycles, similar but not identical to the US
standard. Most 60 cycle electrical appliances from
the United States will function properly, although
appliances that have internal time mechanisms will
not keep the correct time. Transformers are
available at the Front Desk.
What currency is accepted?
US Dollars and Antillean Guilders are accepted at
Habitat at the resort and around Curacao. All major
credit cards are also welcome and ATM cash machines
are located around the island. |
