Well, call us food
fanatics, call us bon vivants, because we just believe that you
cannot have a great vacation without great food. And being that the
all-inclusive concept has not been particularly know for its
superior level of culinary creativity, we set out to create a new
standard for all-inclusive cuisine; something we unofficially call
Gourmet Inclusive.
How does Gourmet Inclusive translate into the experience for the
guest? First, we firmly believe –no, we are absolutely certain-
that superior cuisine can only come a’ la Carte. That’s why all
restaurants in all properties that we operate and manage serve all
meals a’ la Carte. No exclusions, no exceptions.
Second, we have a dedicated food expert who supervises all
aspects of our food service. What’s the big deal, you say, most
hotel companies have food and beverage managers. The big deal is
that our food expert is not a food and beverage manager. Actually,
each property’s food and beverage managers report to him. He is a
highly experienced person who is not concerned so much with the
daily operation of the restaurants, but focuses on several points
crucial to serving superior cuisine: Quality, Creativity,
Presentation, Innovation, and Taste.
Intrigued? Good! Our gastronomic mastermind leads a team of
chefs and food and beverage managers, whose combined backgrounds are
nothing short of impressive. We have young, ambitious chefs who are
striving to make their mark and seasoned creative pros with decades
of experience serving in many fine establishments such as renowned
Michelin three star restaurants in Europe, Hyatt International, the
Ritz Carlton and Caesar Park in Mexico, or the Mandarin Oriental in
Asia. Their creativity and passion have taken them throughout
Europe, Mexico, North America, Latin America and around the world.
Third, Gourmet Inclusive means that we only use the finest
authentic ingredients and produce most of our foods in house. Each
property bakes their own bread and pastry on a daily basis. We make
our own pasta. All of our sauces are made from scratch. We do not
believe in pre-made or canned foods.
And we only use the finest food suppliers. All food prepared at the
Karisma hotels are made with our guests in mind and that’s why we
often test new dishes just to make sure they are absolutely
satisfactory.
We are passionate about hospitality and our cuisine. Our food
preparation techniques are a melting pot of international influences
and the objective of our chefs is to not only produce some
mouth-watering creations for our guests, but to turn each meal into
an experience in itself.
And here are some specific concepts our unique approach has brought
to the table (pun not intended, but welcome):
One example of Gourmet Inclusive is the variety of food
available at our flagship El Dorado Royale Resort and Spa. The
property has seven a’ la Carte restaurants serving food as diverse
as Continental, International, Mexican, Italian, Asian and
Caribbean.
Another example is that each of the main restaurants at both
the El Dorado Royale and El Dorado Seaside Suites have daily
changing menus. That’s right, each day there’s a new menu and those
are on a 14-day rotation, so unless you’re staying with us for more
than two weeks, you will not see yesterday’s menu.
Another example is a lobster-only menu at Azul Beach Hotel.
This menu consist of over 20 dishes prepared with lobster.
Are we obsessed with food? A little (but in a good way). So,
