This resort features a private beach and lagoon on Tahiti's west coast, across from the Island of Moorea.
A range of accommodations includes rooms with garden or lagoon views, as well as over-water bungalows.
There are two pools onsite, and gear can be rented for various beach activities. Several Tahitian art classes are also offered.

AMENITIES & FACILITIES

The Intercontinental Beachcomber Resort spans 30 acres on the west coast of Tahiti. Grounds include a private beach and a lagoon that face the Island of Moorea, across the Sea of Moons. The resort offers two freshwater pools, as well as equipment rentals for diving, boating, and other beach activities. Guests can also sign up for basket weaving, pareu demonstration and painting, or Tahitian quilt-sewing classes. In the evenings, performances of Polynesian dance and music are featured at Tiare Restaurant.

ACCOMODATIONS

InterContinental Resort Tahiti offers 260 guestrooms in a 3-story property. Furnishings include sofa beds and desks. Guestrooms feature cable television with premium TV channel(s). Lagoon View Room - Lagoon View rooms are cozy and spacious with private balconies. Panoramic Room - Panoramic Rooms are located at the secluded end of the resort and are the largest rooms in two buildings. All offer magnificent panoramic views over the Lotus infinity pool, the lagoon and across the Sea of Moons to Moorea. The Panoramic Rooms are spacious with a large private balcony, making them among the top choice of honeymooners. Bungalow Overwater Motu - The Bungalow Overwater Motu, modeled after traditional Polynesian houses called fare, are perhaps the most romantic and certainly the most intimate of accommodations offered. They are roofed in traditional pandanus leaves and situated on stilts over the lagoon itself. They all have sundecks and platforms from where clients can step off directly into the lagoon waters for swimming or snorkeling or to watch the sunset. The Motu is situated directly on the lagoon, in front of the Lagoonarium, the main pool and the central resort complex. Bungalow Overwater Lagoon - The Bungalow Overwater Lagoon, modeled after traditional Polynesian houses called fare, are perhaps the most romantic and certainly the most intimate of the hotel's accommodations. Overwater Villa Motu - Overwater Villa Motu features a separate living room with a glass bottom coffee table turning the room into a tropical aquarium (also illuminated at night), a separate bedroom with a walk-in dressing room, a large and bright bathroom opened on the lagoon, a very large under shade terrace equipped with sun beds and dining table, and a spacious bathing deck.
