Set on its own 240-acre private island, Matangi Private Island Resort is located in the northeast part of the Fiji Island group. Guests can take advantage of complimentary water sports at the beach including snorkeling, kayaking, and windsurfing. Scuba diving and snorkeling excursions are also available (surcharge). At the spa, guests can enjoy facials, body treatments, and massages such as the Fijian Massage or the Papaya Wrap (surcharge).

The beachfront Vale-Ni-Kana Dining Room serves Fijian cuisine prepared with fresh local ingredients as well as an extensive selection of wine and cocktails

ACCOMMODATIONS

Matangi Private Island Resort offers 14 bures and villas located along the beachfront or amid tropical foliage. All accommodations are designed in a traditional Fijian style with thatched roofs, bamboo walls, and timber furnishings. Bathrooms include hair dryers, bathrobes and slippers, and complimentary Pure Fiji toiletries. Amenities include coffee/tea makers, minibars, complimentary bottled water, and complimentary fresh baked cookies delivered daily. This resort includes the following in the room rate: all meals including morning and afternoon tea; laundry service; and snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and island hikes.

Island Bure - Complimentary water, coffee and tea making facilities, fresh home made cookies, slippers, bathrobes, beach towels, umbrella and safes. Complete with local timber furnishings which are all natural and outside access.

Oceanview Bure - All bures have private facilities, mini bar tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and private verandas. Oceanview Bures have outdoor lava-rock showers.

Tree House Bure - Houses are unique to Matangi Island. Featured on the Travel Channel's segment "Tremendous Tree Houses", they are popular with honeymooners and couples escaping for romance.

Beachfront Bure - Hand-crafted by local Fijian craftsmen using wood, bamboo, lava rock and coconut palm thatch, our seven Beachfront Bures have been carefully designed to achieve a harmonious balance between nature and contemporary elegance.

2 Bedroom Bure - Sitting on its own private point only steps from the ocean, Villa Matangi is the largest of our accommodation. Built in the same style as our spacious Beachfront Bures, it is ideal for a family, couples traveling together and groups.
