What to Expect: A favorite escape for celebrities, this secluded resort has a casual, beach chic ambiance. Ideal for nature enthusiasts and celebrating couples seeking a quiet, distraction-free vacation, there are no telephones, faxes, newspapers, or TVs, and shoes are optional at all times. This all-inclusive resort accommodates a maximum of 19 couples at a time. Children 12 and over are welcome.

Amenity Highlights: Guests can sunbathe on the peaceful white-sand beach, snorkel, or take a scuba diving class (surcharge). In-room massages are available by appointment (surcharge). ACCOMMODATIONS

Vatulele Island Resort offers 19 private villas surrounded by tropical foliage and white-sand beach. Villas are designed in a Fijian style with adobe walls, thatch roofs, and rich wood furnishings. Each villa features a spacious private terrace and a separate sitting area. The Vale Viqi-Grand Bure offers a plunge pool, and The Point villa features two private pools. Providing an environment free from distractions, villas do not have TVs or telephones (guests may use the resort's office phone and fax for emergencies). This all-inclusive resort includes meals, beverages (including alcohol), and activities (excluding scuba diving and fishing) in the room rate.

Deluxe Beach Bure - The villas or bures (pronounced 'boorays') are spacious and identical, enjoying easy access to the water, each with its stretch of white sand. Twelve doors open to an expansive terrace, and from the living room, you walk up three steps to the bedroom, with a king-size bed and a dressing area. The bures are located more than twenty meters apart from the next, affording guests total privacy, surrounded by dense natural jungle.

Vale Viqi - Vale Viqi (pronounced 'varlay vingy') pink house, is the name for the grand honeymoon bure. The most remote of the bures, this uniquely designed bure is noted for its extreme privacy and architectural detailing. Vale Viqi provides a spacious 182 square meters, or 1,960 square feet of generous proportions plus a private courtyard and decking area ideal for open-air entertaining. It offers air conditioning throughout, entertainment system, two indoor showers, outdoor shower, bidet, intimate dining area and a private plunge pool, all surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage leading to convenient beach access.

The Point - This is a premium bure providing a commanding view of the idyllic lagoon and the entire stretch of beach.
