|
The Tanjung Rhu Resort, is
perched on 1,100 acres of natural lush gardens, sited in the
northern tip of Langkawi Island with crystal clear water's
of the Andaman Sea. The Tanjung Rhu resort are luxurious
rooms, that are fully equipped with excellent amenities. The
hotel offers a complete range of recreation facilities
including many spa treatments & a variety of restaurants
with amazing views.
The JivaRhu Spa offers a great choice of massages. You can
choose from aromatherapy, Urut (Malay traditional massage),
Ancient Thai; Swedish; Sports; Shiatshu, Therapeutic or
Kalari (Ayurvedic). In addition to spa and sports
facilities, and in keeping with the surroundings of this
eco-resort, the Tanjung Rhu offers a selection of
nature-based guest activities. There is mountain biking
through villages, non-motorized watersports such as sea
kayaking and hydrobikes, and for those inclined to fish –
the chef will prepare their catch. There are a number of day
trips to historic sites and places of interest. Those who
like snorkeling will enjoy Pulau Payar National Marine Park
- small uninhabited island 45 minutes by catamaran from the
town of Kuah. |

ACCOMMODATIONS |
The easy-life charm of
Tanjung Rhu echoes through the resort, tingeing the luxuries
of a deluxe property, with a casual, unhurried ambience.
Welcome drinks, fruit basket and cold towels is served to
wish you ‘Selamat Datang’ (Welcome). Guest have
a choice of five types of rooms at the 136-room Tanjung Rhu
Resort. Resort categories include:

- Cahaya - 60sqm
- Bayu Suria - 80sqm
- Bayu Senja - 80sqm
- Anjung - 100sqm
Each room is spacious,
with timber floors and large windows, to take advantage of
the tropical breeze and a choice of enchanting garden, pool
or sea view for you. Employing the best of the Asian-Eastern
influence, our decor is complemented with upholstery and
drapes in soft Thai silk and pure Indian cotton fabrics.
All rooms are equipped with LCD TV, DVD and compact disc
player, private bar with coffee machine and oversized bath
with separate shower. Bayu and Anjung rooms are equipped
with dataport. |

Whilst many visitors

Star Gazing:
From our vantage location near the equator, Tanjung Rhu
Resort sees almost the entire celestial sphere. To exploit
this and the fact that Langkawi has the clearest skies of
West Malaysia, we offer a user-friendly telescope - the
revolutionary Meade ETX with its brainy Autostar Computer
Controller which will take you on a guided tour of the
wondrous night skies over Langkawi.
Above Saffron: A
popular spot to pass your time, before dinner, after dinner
or at any time of the day. This fun sport is equipped with a
pool table, a "foosball" table and a dart board for your
leisurely use.
Sunset Pool: Relax
under the tropical sun or take a cool long dip.......Relax
and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the Andaman Sea at our
magnificent, 60 meter fresh water pool and experience the
tranquility..
Sands Pool Club and Pool Bar: This pool was created
by encompassing the existing Alfresco Sands restaurant with
a 50m ozone treated swimming pool that runs parallel and
faces the beachfront from the featured Sands Garden end. The
architecture of this pool blends well with landscape of
coconut and palm trees, neatly constructed bridging timber
decks with lime rock water and selected light features which
enhances the whole pool area during the night fall.
The pool area is well equipped with sun decks, umbrellas and
changing room facilities.
Internet Center: Our Internet Centre will ensure that
you are always connected to the world. Enjoy private surfing
and emailing sessions amidst our tropical lush garden.
Pavilion Meeting Room: The Tanjung Rhu Resort's
purposeful built Pavilion Meeting Room is specially designed
to suit even the most fastidious of needs in an environment
between sophistication and Mother Nature's treasure, capable
of seating 100 persons in a theatre set up. Equipped
state-of-the-art audio and video facilities, the Pavilion
Meeting Room is a convenient facility for participants to
enhance their 'Convene Experience'.
Airport Transfer: Guests can choose to be picked up
at an additional charge from the Langkawi International
Airport - 30 minutes away by car from the Tanjung Rhu
Resort. Resort transportation available for you to choose is
either the chauffeured Jaguar limousine, or Estima coaster
(shuttle van). |

Sands: Sands is an alfresco casual all-day
dining restaurant offering local and western fare. This
beachfront restaurant with ponds and ceiling fans, serves a
variety of Malaysian and Western cuisine. It is open for
breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Saffron: This popular
Eastern flavoring lives up to its name at this restaurant.
This Mediterranean Restaurant is a popular spot any time of
the day. Saffron also has an alfresco section with an
unencumbered view of Tanjung Rhu's stunning sunsets. |
